Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using RESUME.AI (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. The Service is operated by PRPL 7 Inc.(“we”, “us”, “our”).

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms at any time; continued use after notice of changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and all activity under your account.
• You must notify us immediately at support@launchresumeai.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
• One account per person. You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Description of the Service

RESUME.AI is an AI-powered job-search platform. The Service includes, but is not limited to:

• AI-assisted resume tailoring to specific job descriptions.
• ATS keyword scoring and gap analysis.
• Cover letter generation in the user's voice.
• Interview preparation materials (questions, STAR scaffolds).
• Company intelligence research (culture, layoff risk, leadership signals).
• Job discovery and ranking across external job boards.
• Application pipeline tracking (Kanban board, analytics).
• Rejection pattern analysis.
• Secure vault for storing personal data used in job application form-fills.

The Service uses large language models (including Anthropic's Claude) to generate content. All AI-generated content is based on information you provide and is intended to assist — not replace — your own judgment. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving any resume, cover letter, or application before submission.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Provide false, misleading, or fabricated information in your resume or profile for the purpose of deceiving prospective employers.
• Use the Service to generate content that you know to be materially inaccurate.
• Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security feature of the Service.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute any part of the Service or its AI outputs at scale without our written consent.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Upload malicious files or content designed to harm our systems or other users.
• Resell or commercially exploit the Service without our prior written authorization.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that we determine, in our sole discretion, are violating these rules.

7. Subscriptions and payment

7a. Plans

All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated at checkout.

7b. Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (weekly or monthly). Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

7c. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to paid features until then. We do not provide refunds for partial periods except where required by applicable law.

7d. Price changes

We may change subscription prices at any time. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before any price increase applies to your existing subscription.

8. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you upload or provide to the Service, including your resume, job descriptions, and profile information (“Your Content”).

By uploading Your Content, you grant PRPL 7 Inc. a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process, store, and use Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not use it to train general-purpose AI models or share it with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

You represent that you have the right to upload Your Content and that it does not infringe any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, trademarks, and AI-generated template outputs, is owned by PRPL 7 Inc. or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written consent.

AI-generated outputs produced specifically from Your Content (such as a tailored version of your resume) are considered Your Content for the purposes of Section 8 above.

10. Third-party services and links

The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services (such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, and Lever for job discovery). We are not responsible for the content, practices, or terms of any third-party service. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PRPL 7 INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF REVENUE, EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY, DATA, OR GOODWILL.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $100 CAD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you to the extent prohibited by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PRPL 7 Inc. and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) Your Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.

14. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@launchresumeai.com. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if we determine you have violated these Terms or if required by law.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, and 15) shall survive.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and, to the extent applicable, the laws of the province of Ontario, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act, 1991 (Ontario), or any successor legislation. The arbitration shall be conducted in English in Toronto, Ontario.

Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights or confidential information.

16. General

• Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and PRPL 7 Inc. regarding the Service.
• Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
• Waiver. Failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right.
• Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights to a successor entity.
• Language. These Terms are written in English. In the event of any conflict between an English version and a translated version, the English version prevails.
